Sketchbook Project: Pillbug

Some things are hard to swallow.  They seem to scurry all over us with their spiny legs before we must accept them.  Some things are wrong and ugly and unfair.  We can seek to fight them, waste our efforts on them, fear them.

Or. . .
We can hold them in the palm of our hand.  Declare them small.  Consume them before they consume us. And move forward with it buried and forgotten within us.

This is grace.

Oh, Rubin! This may be my favorite one of all in your sketchbook! It is very polished and gorgeous. Love the subtle shades of greens and pinks. And of course, who doesn’t love a pillbug. Absolutely stunning! And cooooooool logo in the corner!

Your video! AAAAAAAHHHH!!! How awesome is that! The book looks incredible. So many beautiful, beautiful faces. Great blend of creepy and beauty. And the vellum overlays are a really neato effect. I am so impressed!
